Description
The statue of the symbolic American Red Cross Nurse from the late 1800s is adjacent to the Florence Nightingale story board. It is a bronze statue on a marble and wooden base. This small statue was donated by Susan Lien, who restored many artifacts for the Museum. Clara Barton, a pioneering nurse from the Civil War era was Florence Nightingale's counterpart for early development of American Nursing Practice.
