Description
This unique display of Respiratory Care-related artifacts represent an on-loan collection from the Museum, located adjacent to the Respiratory Care Laboratory in Walker Hall (Bldg. A). The top shelf includes a variety of aerosol generating atomizers and nebulizers from the 1920s to the 1960s. The second shelf includes a historical monograph on the administration of Oxygen (1950 publishing date) a Wright Peak Flow measurement device for measuring exhalation and a 1950s era AMBU bag for artificial ventilation to an adult. The bottom shelf features a large Ohio Medical nebulizer and flow meter, a bird Mark 10 Respirator with valve, a small office oxygen tank and an early incentive spirometer for managing breathing exercises to post-operative patients.
