Description
The DeLee-Hillis Obstetrical Fetoscope (circa 1960) is a hands-free stethoscope (note the steel headband) allowing the physician to move the fetus and listen to internal sounds of the body, notably the fetal heartbeat before and during birth. The metal band fit over the head of the midwife or physician.
