Description

The Cardiology Display is located within the 5^{th -} Floor public elevator access corridor. These artifacts are organized to display the five important developments for the evolution of practice for the Medical specialty now known as Cardiology. Those developments include: 

• Auscultation—The art and science of listening to heart and lung sounds
• The Electrocardiogram (ECG)
• The Origin and Importance of Blood Pressure Measurement
• The Origin and Importance of Cardiac Imaging
• The Origin and Importance of Cardiac Interventions and Repairs

Cardiology artifacts and storyboards are organized to show visual objects and historical anecdotes that describe pioneering medical researchers and practitioners devoted to both diagnostic and therapeutic methodology which encompasses the medical specialty-- Cardiology.  The closeup images for each of the five shelves within the display provide a more detailed focus for individual historical milestones as well as related instruments and devices that either provide diagnostic information, or enable the Cardiologist to effect focused remedies or interventional repairs.
